| xenaRadio is a free music promotion site being developed by Wayne Fetherbay of Gringoloco Studios and Gringoloco Graphics. Listeners may think of xenaRadio as their own personal audio library with hundreds of complete albums at their fingertips! For music artists, groups, songwriters, etc... it's a way to get your music heard worldwide... free!
Unlike other online music sites, xenaRadio focuses entirely on the music, and we try to put the highest quality audio possible online. You won't find chats, blogs, ineffective charting, nor a hundred other distracting bells and whistles on xenaRadio... just quality music! Recently I discovered that Microsoft had updated their Windows Media Player with codecs capable of playing 24-bit 96khz audio with ultra highly compressed audio. The audio quality is unbelievable and, in some instances, may actually be better quality than the CD audio it came from! How do I do it? Each audio track is converted from a 16-bit 44khz (or less) file to to a 24-bit 96khz riff wav file using the latest dithering techniques. The resulting audio is processed in our own proprietary software, checking for remastering needs and removing any excess silence in the audio. The resulting file is then converted to a compressed 192kbs VBR Windows Media Audio file that streams 24-bit 96-khz! If your sound card can't play 24-bit 96khz, Windows Media Player automatically converts the audio to the highest bit rate and sample rate your sound card can play! Where is it going from here!

Listen and compare our 24-bit 96-khz DVD Quality audio to standard mp3 audio Right Click and choose "Save Target As..." to Download Right Click downloaded files and check the "Properties" Since our audio requires Windows Media Player and a browser that's JavaScript/ActiveX enabled, not all browsers are compatible. Internet Explorer (recommended) versions 4.0 and higher, Netscape 7.1 and higher (may require some special setup for 8.0+), and Mozilla Firefox (may require MediaWrap ActiveX component) all work well. We think we have our audio format finalized. We prefer standard music CD albums for processing. We cannot create the highest quality audio from uploaded mp3 files. However, higher quality compressed files may be accepted... mp3, wma, wav at 128kbs (minimum) or higher (256kbs or higher preferred). We are a listen-only site. Downloads are prohibited. All audio on our site is copyrighted. No media files may be duplicated or sold without express written permission from the copyright holder. Enjoy xenaRadio!
